Stay at the Nature-Inspired Ibis Tambore in Barueri, Close to Sao Paulo

Visitors to Brazil who aren’t fully comfortable with large cities would do well at the Ibis Tambore – it’s about 27 kilometers away from the main city center, keeping you out of the main core of the city, but still close enough to go in every day and enjoy it! It can be quite intimidating to stay in the downtown of a strange city, especially one as large and diverse as Sao Paulo – so it’s perfectly alright to ease yourself into the feel of the city by staying at a hotel nearby!

The Ibis Tambore, a 2 star hotel, may not be the height of luxury – but it’s certainly comfortable, quaint, and has lovely grounds that are tended with care. The floral gardens are representative of the nature that grows in Brazil: bright, bold, and beautiful! All rooms here are air conditioned as well, and they also include cable television, telephone with voicemail, an in-room safe, dial-up internet access, and a work desk with lighting. Both the guest rooms and the rest of the hotel’s facilities have been optimized for wheelchair accessibility, ensuring that all guests who arrive here can make the most of their stay and truly enjoy themselves.

The hotel has its own lounge and bar area, which serves drinks and light snacks to guests for most of the day and well into the evening hours! If you’d rather not venture into the unknown for lunch or dinner while staying here, the hotel restaurant is excellent and specializes in a wide variety of International cuisines – plus plenty of traditional Brazilian dishes too, just in case you would like to experience this delightful aspect of Brazilian culture!

Business guests are invited to make use of the Ibis Tambore’s self-service business center, featuring fax, photocopy, and print services at all times of the day. There are also 2 meeting rooms available for rental, should you desire to host a business meeting, presentation, or other corporate event while staying here. Seminar bookings are also encouraged, and the restaurant would be happy to coordinate a catered lunch with you, should that be an option.

Of course, you don’t need to travel all the way into the city to get to the attractions! There are plenty of cafes and restaurants near the Ibis Tambore, while the Tambore Shopping Center is just around the corner! The quiet neighborhood of Alphaville is also under 2 kilometers away, where many businesses and quaint shops await for you – it is even a nice place to take a walk through the streets, admiring the houses and lovely gardens.

Room rates at the Ibis Tambore are not quite as high as you might find when staying right within Sao Paulo – they start here at about $60 USD per night. Although they may increase somewhat during the busier season or when there is a large conference in town, it won’t be by too much – and for the peace and quiet you’ll get from staying here instead of downtown, any price is a bargain!
